The weekend was made for family time and fun date nights especially after being sick for a few weeks battling sinus infections. It was the first weekend in a long time where I wasn’t suffering from an excruciating headache; sinus pressure is no joke. Last week my sister and brother in law decided to come hang out with us for several days because who doesn’t love a personal chef and unlimited amounts of laughter. Still pretty convinced they visit me for my cooking skills because I don’t think I would see much of them lol. Hey it’s whatever brings them to the dinner table, right?! Which is why we headed up to my mother in law’s for dinner Saturday evening and she always knows how to throw down a feast.
Wore these Olive Green Pants (wearing a size 2, but TTS they are linen and will stretch out) for dinner and loved that I can wear them with a blouse or a tee, they are the perfect pant for dressing up or down. Love the linen fabric for summer days in the office or an evening out for dinner. Also, loving the green trend, especially for the upcoming fall, some of my current favorites, Olive Trench, Green Parka, Point Toe Flats and these Skinny Cargo Pants. On top I wore a Ralph Lauren Tank, it’s old but found a similar one here. For a more dressed up appearance this blouse or even this one would look great!
I have been incorporating this Talbot’s Pink Satchel (currently on sale, under $60) with pretty much all my looks recently, blush/rose has become a neutral in my closet and adds the perfect feminine touch. If you saw my Crushing on Blush & Neutrals post then you know why I am loving all the blush shades. Also found these adorable Light Pink Slides, that I can’t just wait to pack for our NYC trip. Speaking of shoes these Joie Banner Mules (in shade Dove) are finally fully stocked, they have been selling out so quickly at other retailers and have been everyone’s favorite mule for several seasons now. They also come in several other colors, love the blue and cognac.
Don’t be afraid to step out of the norm when it comes to your wardrobe, you never know what you might fall in love with. I am always pushing myself to try various new shoe styles and see how I could incorporate them in my wardrobe. Also trying out various pant styles such as high waisted and wide leg along with different fabrics and coordinating them with pieces I already own. Mixing new and old pieces can really complete an ensemble!
