Happy Tuesday Everyone! The past few days have been such a blur and so busy and endless amounts of Uber rides. NYFW has been a success and though it was my first time, I am looking forward to many more events in the future. I am also super thankful for all the bloggers friends I made these past few days, cheers to many more!
On Saturday I attended the Banana Republic x Olivia Palermo Fashion Show which was absolutely stunning. Loved the entire collection, there is a light pink ruffled blazer I am keeping my eye on. There are so many fun trends this upcoming fall especially long coats, blazers, plaid, military style and more ruffles. A mixture of masculine and feminine with bold colors and fun fabrics.
I also had the opportunity for a quick meet and greet with Olivia and snapped a picture (I posted it on my insta stories). She is my all time favorite style icon, totally in love with all her fashion choices and now that she has come out with this collection with Banana Republic makes me that much happier! The collection is affordable and perfect for everyday wear.
For the show I went with a Club Monaco White Ruffled Mini, probably one of my favorite mini skirts I own. It’s high-waisted and hits right above the knees; also comes in black. I am wearing a size 2 for reference. My top is super fun and has little lipsticks all over it, was a recent purchase from Banana Republic and love that it can be dressed up or down. Also can’t ever go wrong with adding a button up to your wardrobe.
To top it off I added my White/Navy Jacket (sold out) it’s been my favorite recently, love throwing it over my shoulders especially with the hot/cold temps here in NYC. My Nude Manolo Blahnik Block Heels are perfect for the upcoming fall and totally chic whether it’s for work or for an evening out. They are a splurge but I was in love with them and couldn’t resist! Their heel is the perfect height and super comfortable. I also love Mary Janes and any pump with an ankle strap (easy walking) which is another trend I noticed for fall and it’s my favorite type of shoe, so classy and elegant.
Arnel and I ended up enjoying the Flatiron District after the show and my heels were a breeze to walk around in, also found a similar version here (on sale for under $65) also found a nude version here. I am totally crushing on this pair of Manolo Blahnik Slingbacks, the low block heel and cognac shade would be great with jeans and a plaid blazer.
The Flatiron District has so much to do, so many great places to enjoy lunch or dinner and so many shops which are all within walking distance. Also great for capturing the perfect picture with the Flatiron Building in the background, I recommend early morning photoshoots to avoid all the traffic and crowds and then a quick stop at Toby’s Estate Coffee Shop for pastries.
Hope you all are staying safe and out of harm’s way!
