It’s officially fall and I am so excited about the cooler temps that will be rolling it, (hopefully). It’s been awfully hot these past few weeks, it feels like mother nature is making up for the rainy summer that we had. I am definitely not complaining, I think I rather deal with the sunshine than the rain, but now I am so ready for some 60 degree fall temps.

I have been loving all the fall trends, the suede, the velvet, mustard tones, maroon and olive green. So many gorgeous shades and fabrics;I love mixing and matching them. I had also done a ton of online shopping because can’t get over all the sales that have been happening especially Macy’s, they still have their extra 30% off everything online and in store. I have stocked up on so many cashmere sweaters, cardigans and boots because I know I will be reaching for all my favorite classics.

Cashmere sweaters have been my go to for fall, which is why I picked up this Crew Neck Cashmere Sweater in Ivory & Blush. Wearing a size Small for reference! I also purchased the Light Blue in the V-Neck version as well as the Light Grey Cashmere Duster. These will definitely last me for years to come!

This Free People Beige Skirt has been one of my favorite recent purchases! I have the skirt in 3 different colors, recently  wore the Pink here and can’t wait to show you all how I styled the plum. It’s a really soft faux suede, feels great on and fits very well. I am wearing a size 2 and I usually am between a 0 or a 2, but the 0 was just a bit tight, so I would say go up a size. The beige skirt is the perfect fall shade, it would look great with a black sweater or maroon turtle neck; it’s just the staple skirt that you need in your closet.

I have been on a hunt for a great knee high pair of boots that I could wear more often to work, when I am out and about but also a pair that would look great with skirts, dresses and jeans. These Michael Kors Taupe Boots were everything I was looking for; very comfortable, TTS and the color is perfect for wearing with black or brown tones. They also come in a black leather and look very chic.

I know these will be my go to pair time after time and the price makes me that much happier since they are currently on sale. It’s definitely hard to find a great pair of boots that fits well, looks great on and is under $400. The suede is also a tougher suede unlike my Stuart Weitzman which is very soft and personally I can go a little crazy with trying to keep my shoes clean and scratch free so it’s nice when the fabric is durable. I am also 5’2 1/4 in height (very short) to give you an idea of height and boot length on me.

Sorry about the long post, wanted to touch up on all the details especially since these are investment pieces. Investing in neutral pieces is a must, especially on sweaters or a great pair of boots, it is pricey and you want to be able to get as much use out of them as possible. So look at what shades you tend to lean towards, maybe a go to neutral for you is black, navy or even gray. You want to invest in items that you can pair with your current wardrobe.

We are off to Chattanooga Sunday morning for a quick day trip! Hoping to explore for a few hours and try some amazing coffee shops and brunch places. Have an amazing weekend and thank you for stopping by!
