There a few several pants I love to invest in, a great pair of trousers, a tailor cropped pant and my favorite of all; everyday chinos. They are great alternative to jeans as well as your go to business casual pant. Chinos have definitely been a long time go to, especially for work (business casual environment), lunch dates, casual events especially where jeans would not be appropriate. They can also be dressed up, by simply putting on a button down or a sweater. They are extremely versatile and remarkably comfortable.

I can be a little picky when it comes to selecting the right pair, only because I know I will get a ton of use out of them and need them to be just right. Most recently J.Crew has been coming out with must have fall pieces and these Everyday Chinos are one of them. They fit true to size and keep in mind they will relax a bit after wear so if at first you try your regular size and they feel tight, don’t panic. I ordered my regular 0, (not petite) they naturally hit right at the ankle which is perfect for us shorter girls. They also come in Navy, Khaki & a Rustic Olive; all the fall must have shades. I just ordered the Rustic Olive, thinking it would look great with this Plaid Blazer (currently 40% off with code YAYCLOTHES) I just recently purchased.

On two of the separate occasions that I wore my everyday chinos, I styled them a bit differently, one for a more weekend cozy wear and another for a business casual work day at the office.

While Arnel and I were running errands early in the morning last week, the weather was a bit chilly so naturally I couldn’t wait to put on my Cashmere Cardigan (wearing an XS) in a light gray and put on my go to Perfect Fit Tee (40% off) which are absolutely amazing, so durable, wash well, don’t change color or shrink. I actually have this tee in multiple colors and also in the long sleeve version (great investment). To add a hint of blush, I went with my go to Vince Loafers, I wear these so much, truly a soft loafer.

The mornings can get pretty chilly, in the 50s which gives us the hope that fall is on it’s way but then by the afternoon it’s back up in the 80s. So dressing for the weather has been a bit challenging, wearing a light Trench Coat is my secret, it keeps me warm as I head to work, but isn’t overbearingly heavy. I have also been sticking to light Cashmere Sweaters (extra 20% off) slowly transitioning into fall, but yet it’s still light enough to wear during the heat spikes.

With Loafers being my go to shoe, I had kept my eye out on these Leopard Loafers which I just had to get, they are versatile, perfect for the fall and as you may have noticed they go with everything. I sized half a size down, while other reviews said they are true to size, I personally have a very narrow and skinny foot that my 6.5 was a bit too big and too roomy. I also found this Steve Madden Leopard Loafer for under $90!
